Birthday: October 11, 1950
Occupation: Newly retired! Hooray! Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 2 From Donna: Hello! This website is just the greatest! I have had such fun "browsing" all of your messages. I look at the pictures and albums and can't believe it's been 40 years! I think back to those days and most memories make me smile and laugh while some, like visualizing Ms. Adaskin's Alg.II class, make me break out in a cold sweat and hyperventilate. I, too, was so saddened to hear of Geno's death. I will always remember walking down the hallway and experiencing John and Geno's "fake fighting" and head-bashing into the lockers for the first time, not knowing it wasn't real! A real eye opener for a newcomer to CHS. I was glad to read, though, that he lead a full and happy life. In fact, it's really wonderful to read about so many happy, successful lives out there! I will miss the reunion as I will be in Princeton, NJ visiting my oldest son, Justin and his family which includes daughter-in-law, Deanna and my two sweet granddaughters, Grace, 2 1/2 yrs. and Ginger, 9 months. I have 3 granddaughters! My youngest son, Corey and wife, Jill, and baby Natalie, 5 1/2 months live in San Diego. So, I visit every Wednesday to give Momma a break and get my "Nana" fix! My husband of almost 34 years, Michael and I live in the beautiful seaside community of Laguna Niguel, sandwiched between Dana Point and Laguna Beach. It is heaven. We have been here 8 years and have been remodeling our fixer-upper wreck of a house we bought for location, location, location and view, view, view (not of the ocean but beautiful hillsides and mountains) We have become quite the "handy-people" doing everything from laying tile to moving walls to electricity, plumbing, drywall, even crown moulding and LOTS of painting. We are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and should have a finished house, inside and out, by the end of this year. HGTV and I are fast friends! I retired in March from the Garden Grove Unified School District and have found freedom!! But I am so busy now, I don't know how I had time to work! There are so many of you I would love to see in July. I wish I could be in two places at once! I would love to catch up via e-mail so please, if you are so inclined, drop me a line and tell me what you have been doing in your life. Everybody ENJOY the reunion and each other. Have tons of fun! |

Occupation: Kindergarten Teacher Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 4 From Susan: Hi everyone, I'm avoiding doing homework, so a quick message The closer it gets, the more messages I see here on the website, the more I'm looking forward to getting reaquainted with all of you who will be in attendance. It's fun to see the updated photos, (I'm still learning how to do that move ). I'm happy to see I am not the only gray haired member of our class. I think it was child 4 (the boy) that did it. I'm sadly surprised that so many of us cannot be located. Not too hard to understand, though, in the mobile world in which we find ourselves. I've been living in Ventura County since returning from Belgium in the 70's. Camarillo is very much like Coronado - good for families, though the teenagers think it's a drag. Great weather and close enough to anything bigger that we may need. Looking forward to the fun in Coronado in July. Be safe until then. Susan |

My wife's parents somehow ended up in the Cays in the 70's, but I met her in S.C. almost thirty years ago. We come to the rock yearly, and will be down later in July. Nice to read all the news and see the pictures, too. Continued good luck to all, the fraternity of the rock. Also-.Kirk S. can be found at the Coronado Tennis Center quite frequently |

Birthday: June 09, 1950
Occupation: engineer, writer, musician, ski patroller Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 3 From Steve: Hi Gwyn: Nice to hear from you. I won't be able to come to this reunion, as much as I'd like to. I am booked already for that weekend. My band has a local festival gig on the fourth, and we've been invited to play Oregon's largest outdoor music festival, the Portland Waterfront Blues Festival, on the fifth. So we're going to be pretty busy. I went to an all-class reunion about ten years ago and had a ball. There was almost nobody there from '68 though, and I'd dearly love to see you all again. You can tell folks that I send my best regards to all. I am healthy and happy living in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. I've been here 32 years, and I'm firmly planted. I live in Corvallis, a university town less than an hour from the coast, and two hours from the crest of the Cascade Mountains. I have been doing volunteer ski patrol work for 20 years, and only stopped playing music long enough to get my kids started with school. I have two very handsome sons and a beautiful stepdaughter (of course, those are objective statements), all three of whom live in the mountains now, having grown up skiing and climbing. I am an engineer and a writer, and my wife is an accountant. In my spare time, when I have any, I like to build and repair stringed instruments, particularly antique banjos. I enjoy moutain-based gravity sports. My next big adventure is to climb Denali (Mt. McKinley) in May of '09. There are a few more of us who now live in the Northwest. But I'll leave it to them to report in on their own. Take care. And again, please give my regards to any classmates that you encounter. Fondly: Steve Oder PS, days later: I am working remotely right now, and had to go to the web to get a photo. But yes, that's me, havin' a ball skiing in Canada, three days from the nearest road. I can't get to an old photo since I'm not at home. Feel free to use the one from the yearbook, even though that looks like someone I don't recognize anymore. Who was that guy? Tell me some stories, folks. And have a beer for me. On that day, I'll be having a good time, but I'll also be thinking of all of you. Can anyonme tell me about Paul Free ('69)? Love to all: Steve |
